Emer Simic’s article was published in Best Lawyers Spring 2020 Women in the Law Business Edition.
Green, Griffith & Borg-Breen partner Emer Simic recently authored an article highlighting the firm’s unique position as a majority woman owned IP litigation boutique. Her piece, titled “Equity Matters: How My Firm Defies the Statistics on Women in Legal Leadership — and How Yours Can Too” was featured in the fifth annual Best Lawyers Women in the Law Business Edition.
Gender disparity is a systemic issue across the legal profession, but the opportunity gap is particularly pronounced at the firm leadership level and in certain areas of practice, such as high-stakes IP litigation in the pharmaceutical and biotech space in which Green Griffith specializes. Emer’s article addresses this gender gap and explains the ways in which Green Griffith has successfully fostered equal opportunities for all its lawyers.
“Our gender diversity sets us apart from other IP firms and is one of our strengths that has contributed to the track record of success we are proud to have achieved for our clients,” Emer says. “I wrote this piece because I hope to inspire other firms and see our model of a progressive, inclusive firm culture spread across the profession.”
