Green Griffith founding partner Caryn Borg-Breen recently became one of the first attorneys in the country to make oral arguments by telephone before the Federal Circuit court.
As trial courts everywhere adjust to extended quarantines and stay-at-home orders, Caryn helped pioneer the virtual practice of IP litigation. Using the court’s conference call system during its first-ever week of telephonic oral arguments involved flexibility and ingenuity, Caryn noted. She dialed in to the Federal Circuit from Green Griffith’s Chicago office on April 6, allowing for maximum quiet and minimum distraction as she argued a client’s Rule 36 case.
Caryn’s groundbreaking experience was chronicled in legal news outlet Law360.
