Green Griffith partner Emer Simic will participate as a panelist for the upcoming “Inventions at the ‘Litigation’ Stage: Inter Partes Review and/or District Court” discussion.
Green, Griffith & Borg-Breen partner Emer Simic will serve as a panelist for the virtual event, “Inventing and ‘Reinventing’ Under Patent Law,” taking place on September 17th.
Emer will speak as part of the panel discussion titled, “Inventions at the ‘Litigation’ Stage: Inter Partes Review and/or District Court.” The conversation will be moderated by David Schwartz, Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Research & Intellectual Life at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Other panelists include Patrick Gallagher, a Partner at Duane Morris, and Judge Jo-Anne Kokoski of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
The panel will discuss litigating patent validity in district court, methods for effective advocacy and nuances within the inter partes review process. The discussion will also touch on novel issues that have arisen in IP litigation due to the coronavirus and the need to work remotely.
