Damon Gupta

Damon specializes in intellectual property law, concentrating on patent litigation, due diligence, and counseling related to pharmaceutical, chemical and biochemical products. He has particular experience handling litigation matters arising under the Hatch‐Waxman Act.

Prior to joining Green, Griffith & Borg‐Breen, Damon was an Associate at Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik. Before attending law school, Damon completed a biomedical graduate program at Baylor College of Medicine, which included coursework in medical physiology, molecular and cell biology, genes and development, and cardiovascular biology.

His research involved gene silencing, protein and RNA detection, cell migration, proliferation assays and immunofluorescence microscopy to study a particular enzyme's role in human monocytes. Mr. Gupta’s thesis work demonstrated that the well‐known enzyme, Rho Kinase‐1, mediated the monocyte to fibroblast transition observed in cardiac repair. He has co‐authored several papers in peer-reviewed journals.
