Timothy J. O’Brien

Tim focuses his practice on patent litigation related to chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology matters. He has worked with a variety of clients, including representing pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation. Tim’s experience spans all stages of patent litigation, including formulating strategies concerning the issues of infringement and validity, fact and expert discovery, dispositive motion practice, resolution at trial, and inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Tim also has experience in trade secrets and unfair competition.
Prior to joining Green Griffith, Tim was an Associate at Latham & Watkins LLP. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable David G. Bernthal in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
